Suffering for Suffrage (The TRUE Shame and Disgrace of Ignorance)

Yesterday I did a satirical post about voting to end women's suffrage ("the right to vote"!) because it's kind of amazing to me how many people, particularly women, don't know anything about suffrage. Get out there and educate yourself! I encourage everyone to watch the film "Iron Jawed Angels." It chronicles the hardship and even prison torture that crusading suffragettes truly suffered during the early 1900's.

Something else that's sad: the fact that apparently none of the cast members of The View know what "suffrage" means.

That one woman on the View doesn't know whether or not the earth is round, so don't get too worked up about that.

I agree with Shawn...not a big surprise to me either.

I think that picture is illustrating the Victorian's version of waterboarding terrorists. Immaculately dressed, dainty terrorists.

True enough, my fiends. "The View" is like a hotbed of ridiculosity.

Jules: Actually, the dainty terrorists would go on hunger strikes, so the authorities would shove a tube into them and force liquified food down their throats. Pretty neat, huh?

Perhaps it could be renamed "The Exceptionally Dim View"?

The force feeding picture is pretty darned scary. "Gavage - it's not just for ducks."
